as a daughter of a less than perfect father i would like to share a few thoughts regarding my father in respect to this blog entry. this is the first father's day without my father and it is devastating for me and my sister. our father was an artist, a painter and he was one of the few who actually made a living with his art. our father may not have made as much money as julian schnabel has but he completely focused on his work, and for this my sister and i were not always in the scope of his full attention. yet, the fact remains that our father loved us more than any other two people in this world. he called us his Life Blood Legacy and he belonged to us as much as we belonged to him.together we were a family even though our home was broken by his deeds. our parents were divorced when we were very young and we did not see our father on a daily basis but our Life Blood Connection gave us a history that need not be explained to anyone but was completely understood by the three of us. divorce is hell on earth for everyone involved and especially leaves a lasting mark on the children. i know i can speak for my sister as well as myself when i say this: all the money, land ,gold, cars, jewels and worldly riches can never replace one drop of our father's blood and none of those material possessions will ever bring him back to us. his thoughts and views on life, his voice, his laughter everything about him is and was so precious. it would be so comforting if those who are going through a divorce and have children to please take a step back and understand that LOVE AND BLOOD is what really counts in this world!

This is a fathers day blog, so I must commend Nas for putting out the real because sometimes we can forget to acknowledge the good that our fathers do because they love differently than mothers. It's wonderful that he mentioned Baby Nas.

No matter what people say Nas is a legend with plenty of money if time gets to rough all he has to do is put out a album and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a couple of million

funny thing is, their court documents (which are sadly public info.) state that Nas has paid OB/GYN costs as well as health insurance for Kelis...yet people are calling him a deadbeat for not forking over 20k to her for "prenatal expenses" -- I think the doctors visits & health insurance should cover "taking care of your unborn child" right? Kelis is asking for lifestyle support & people are reading into it all wrong to drag down Nas when he's doing the right thing.

people please, stop taking every little shred of a story you find on the net as fact & if you are going to diss someone & try to drag them down then find out the real facts before speaking.
