I am saddened by ignorance of some these posts. Nas has made some profound statements about fathers that are being disrespected by some of these comments. His personal affairs are none of the public's business. He is a father and like most fathers he is most likely unappreciated for being the strong black man that he is! Some many times black fathers do not get the respect they deserve unless they are signing the child support check or breaking off a couple of dollars to some trifling mom who is taking half of the money to get her self fixed up for the next "baby daddy". Let's not make these comments about Nas, but about fathers, no matter where they are, who love and want to provide for their families. They are holding it down sometimes at the cost of their own lives and freedom. Big ups to Nas for making some stand up comments about Fathers.

All I can say is what did the brother expect? How can it be expected that the same person who would care about nas' father's day sentiments would not care about kelis' state of mind? The good and the bad comes with this fame thing, so when you see nas poppin' bottles with maxwell and hear kelis cryin' broke and abandoned to the courts, it will mos def give one pause to read Nas wax poetic about being a daddy and a protector. I find it hard to believe the irony of this isn't intentional...forealz.

quickly...i just read a few sentence...and i admire just that one quick sentence that i read to the effect of dads in prison who would do anything to be a dad just for one day... my husband is incarcerated and his heart drools with the thought of just waking up beside his daughter, he wishes just to see her advancements, i.e, use the potty, say new words, recognize who her daddy is since she was conceived him being in prison and i commend him for that...i'm grateful to have someone who just wants to be a dad... of course that should be appreciated, especially when a man as yourself has the courage to step up and ask for recognition when its due... i'm going to continue reading when i get a chance after my lil is asleep since i am in essence a single mom it's tough but just his intentions make me keep going and building the strength that we both need to continue to love our daughter to the best of our ability. Dads do need to be recognized and I recognize. I do.

Its funny how people leave negative feedback on something so positive! Y'all need to stop judging, because in the lives of these celebrities their situations are blown out of proportion by the media, just like the Chris Brown, and Micheal Vick situations. I'm almost sure that if you Anti-Nas fanatics saw him on the street you'd hop right on his "d*ck" honestly I believe you are all angry ass women with deadbeat baby daddys and you are just bitter... if Nas' situation does not directly effect you than why are you so angry?!? Let my man live his life and if he's living it the wrong way God will judge him, get a life of your own and stop worrying about the lives of these celebs... that is very LAME behavior! Big Ups to God's Son and Happy Father's Day!!! I wish him and his future ex wife the best. Try praying for them instead of condemning them!

It's very unfortunate that Kelis can't get a grip on her hormones.Her state of mind during this pregnancy is questionable and I am concerned for her unborn fetus. From her tweets, she is miserable and this is not a happy pregnancy. Doesn't she know that her stress affects the baby. It seems like the marriage was over and she got pregnant to secure more funds but didn't realize the tremendous sacrifice of bringing a life into this world. Salvation and children are God's greatest gifts. Nas probably has been creepin but if you are mature, with knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and LOVE, you will know that this too shall pass and that your bond together is solid as a rock. Your milkshake may bring the boys to the yard but it takes more than a milkshake to keep them there.

Well said Nas...and I feel you! I wish the best to everyone involved. How can judge someone, or the situation they are in when you don't KNOW them?? I am so confused....yeah, I know One Mic is made by Nas, and I love it...but I don't know that dude, AT ALL and I don't know Kelis. So I will leave that judging to who it belongs to....GOD. I hope it all works out for the best for everyone....

I must say that I'm really SADDENED by the comments I see on this Blog... ""Let He Who Is Without Sin..."... HOW dare any of you talk about how someone else is living their life. Yes fathers need love too. Real ones anyway. I'm not talking about the ones that drop the load off on the mother and keep it moving.
I'm talking about the ones that are taking care of their kids because the mother isn't present. The fathers that don't miss a ballet rehersal, a basketball tryout, a drama club meeting...the first day of kindergarden or that day they get their diploma.

My father, is not my biological father but he is all that I have known...and I'm greatful. People like him, and other devoted fathers need more gratitude than what they are getting. All men are not sorry fathers, its the no good fathers that make the good ones look bad. So.....for those of you out there that are holding your weight....we love you.
