Like Chris Rock said..”All we fathers get is the big piece of chicken- if we lucky”...Moms get songs by the O'Jays and everything!!!!! Moms deserve that love, but right now I'm shouting out to real dads.

Some are great role models with real academic achievements. Some are not. Some are no longer alive. Some fathers are locked up, but they are praying for their kids and hoping to be on the streets soon and be betters dads 1 day.

We deserve the love!!! Becuz we don't even expect it, we do what we do regardless! With no signs of a reward for it. We put up with everything, standing true to what's real and letting life take its course protecting our household, our woman, our children, our family. Protecting and leading a nation. Shout out to my pops, a great man! Blessings to our granddads who came b4 us who laid the seeds and the foundation....I wish every dad takes a minute to look at what's he's done...just a minute...No need to glance too long.. Just smile.

Well said Nas....no matter what, I hope this situation works out for all involved. People are so quick to judge but none of know ANYTHING about what's really going on....I wish the best to all of them....and all of you, too because some of y'all really need a hug....today....right now! LMAO!

Nas thanks or writing this. For a lot of people, not totally trying to single out black americans, their father isn't there. I want to sound bitter like most of these people on here just because my dad didn't want to be with a white woman so he vamped and 28 years later I have never met him... but I see what you are trying to do. Only could you shout it a little louder for some of these worthless n*ggas to hear? I don't judge you if fyou slept outside you marrige, but if you going to be in the public light why not set a good example for the kids?

Some of you did not read this well... I expect that. The greatest test in a mans life is when he can openly admit he was wrong. Sometimes it takes us long to do that or for some it takes a reason, whatever it takes as long as it get's done.. We don't have to read between lines to understand the hurt someone else is going through, it's the god in us that let's that light shine and then we see the LIGHT.. with that said. NAS i will pray for you.. and i am sure you will do the right thing.

Wow! These comments are crazy. Nas is simply speaking about how father's are left out, and that there are father's out there that actually handle their business. No one knows what went on in his relationship with Kelis, except them. So people please stop trying to assume what it really is. We can guess and speculate all day, but know one will ever know the truth, unless Nas comes forth himself and speak on it. I actually had the chance to meet both Nas and Kelis when working on his video shoot for "Thieves Theme" and they both seemed in love and very happy. So whatever went wrong in their life is between them, he's obviously happy and proud of his new baby boy on the way, so let him bask in the joy and get through his difficult divorce, because I'm sure divorces are not easy.

Just a thought....
