The Iranian Reform Movement Is In Part A Reaction To The President's Outreach

Two weeks ago, the President of the United States of America made a statement to the Muslim world in Cairo, Egypt on behalf of many of us.  Last week, he sat down for an interview for a Pakistani television station, the first time a U.S. President has done a one-on-one interview for any media outlet in Pakistan. This is how we fight terrorism; by promoting dialogue from a place of love and kindness.  And now in Iran, we are witnessing its people standing up because they no longer want to live in a country with a leader who promotes hate!  They have stood up because they want to be counted! They have stood up because they want to be heard! They have stood up because they want to connect with the rest of the world! And they have stood up because they want reform!

I have grown to learn that the world is 100% what you make it…that is the essence of the science of all of the holy books; a collective consciousness that we all go through life seeking.  We journey through life trying to cleanse our thoughts, so our prayers will be answered.  If we harbor hate in our hearts, then it will take much longer to reach that level of consciousness. The people in Iran have put their lives on the line to reach this level of connectivity with each other and with the rest of the world.

I know, in his heart, the President stands with the people of Iran. And let us not kid ourselves, that speech in Cairo two weeks ago by the President gave support to those in Iran who were ready to revolt. Yet they take the streets not with arms or weapons, but with peace signs and green headbands.   A lot of people have said that the President has been too silent on this issue, however he already said it all. In Cairo.

So in the spirit of collective consciousness, let’s follow closely the events in Iran, as we have become the messengers of truth for our brothers and sisters who want to keep standing up!

  • If we are going to discuss Iran, let's talk about the assasination of Mohammed Mosadeq (democraticly chosen by the Iranian people) who was murdered through the financing of the CIA in the the sixtees, beacuse het wanted to nationalize the oilfields in Iran.
The US replaced him with the ruthless dictator the Shah, who murdered hundreds of thousands.
It is the Islamic republic that got rid of this demon.

I have no connection towards Iran (goverment)
But if I had to chose, I rather live under the current rule, than to have the son of the Shah rule over me.
(Yes Google it, the son of the Shah want to create a new kingdom on the path of his father)
And the US, well the US only cares about stratigic power and the black gold. (OIL = OIL Israel and Logistics)

I hope you guys keep these comments on this blog. This is what freedom of speech is all about. And I don't use prophanity.

Ps. sorry for my English spelling. It is not my native tongue!

    Keep the peace!!
  • ''This is how we fight terrorism; by promoting dialogue from a place of love and kindness.''
I didn't know that dialogue meant bombing wemon and childeren in Irak and Afghanistan. Well I have to go back to school I think:(

    A wise man ones said:
O people, who to him who sais he's the good guy, For he is the one ending up beeing the bad guy.
  • Yes in laymans term i also believe that control is a false perception of what is really going on and its an individual perception at best. But that perception holds alot of power my point is that it flim flappin could cause a war or ruin the live of people: a drug dealer controls a drug user
  • people seek understanding and nothing more. There is no expectation for 'prayer' to be answered. Per my observations mot people expect 'WORK' to bring about consequence and don't expect prosperity to fall from the sky.

I agree there is a collective consciousness, but life is not what you make it.

Think of slaves. By your logic a slave wants to be a slave.

Justice as a human construct is something that is shaped by our perceptions, but reality IS our perceptions. You control how you interpret what you perceive but not what you perceive.
    • You control what you perceive insomuch as what you choose to avail you perceptions to, i.e. going to a baseball game or an opera each has unique perceptions. But the nature of our perceptions in entrenched in our physiology.

You didn't make the arm, or the eye, or the mouth, or nose, or ears. And thus for you to say we control 100% is patently false.

Hitler said to make an untrue thing true you surround it with true things.

Proponents of 'The Secret' try to flim-flam people.
  • easy for you to say every thing is can be hunkey dorey you rich yen man. people want power when ever you look at it its human nature i love our president and his plight for peace in the middle east but until the nature of the beast which is power is satisfied there will never be peace in the middle east or in the streets. think about it
  • Change will not come if WE wait for some other person or some other time. WE are the ones WE've been waiting for. WE are the change that WE seek. - Barack Obama
& this is all I have to say "WE are the messengers" I, Us, WE! means you too
    • And?

    • Hasn't history taught us that sometimes we can achieve things without non violence and using love. The process is slow and lives will be lost but we can overcome. The fact that we have a black President is evidence. Many years ago of course Obama couldn't do what he is doing now his life would be in danger like an American going to Pakistan. But thats the good thing about life - there is continuous change. We just need to work at it keep chipping away at the block and doing our part.

Some leaders have warmed to Obama Chavez and Castro because of his approach. Sometimes using an aggressive stance does not help solve the problem, it only makes the situation worse and in the end there is lots of bloodshed and the same people u try to help begin to hate u. The bottom line is that there is no quick fix or easy solution. If there was we would all be in utopia.

and Amil please remember this is global grind, not everyone who posts is American your chants are irrelevant to us. So save the anti-American chants, really. Actors are found in every nation. Look back in history.....
  • You have got to be kidding me, are you freaking serious?

Last week, he sat down for an interview for a Pakistani television station, the first time a U.S. President has done a one-on-one interview for any media outlet in Pakistan. This is how we fight terrorism; by promoting dialogue from a place of love and kindness.

I tell you what I will post your little article on a website reported to be a Taliban/Alqueda website. And I dare you go to Pakistan and tell them you are all about love. Then I will turn on the news hear about another American beheaded.
    • "...I dare you go to Pakistan and tell them you are all about love. Then I will turn on the news hear about another American beheaded."

reforming a relationship that has generated years of mistrust will not happen over night.

      That's common

      Sense,

    • Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
  • My name is Jackie--if you google--Cnn News-Jerry Zovko, that is my cousin, although he was determined to be a soldier, bottom line is we miss him.

It will take decades if not more for the insane mind set for iraq present and future to change there way of thinking, although many over there have and want to get the hell out of dodge, change will take lots of time, lots of action.

I get my car tires changed at a small pa and ma Iranian couple's business shop--they live here, in peace and mind there own concern, there child is a straight A student-thats a great changing of there way of thinking and behaving --there son is a new generation of living life without crazy hatred. Gotta look at the progress to.

My montra--plan for tommorow-live in today.

  • An eye for an eye makes the world blind as Ghandi said. The only way to defeat such extreme hate is to approach it with genuine empathy, love and opening things up for discussion.

I can understand why the media didn't report the story on Friday. The same reason when Michelle Obama speaks on serious issues. You can't get the transcript of all the speech and all they talk about is her fabulous style or what she was wearing the day.
    • That's irrelevant. We are all aware of this.
How do we move forward. As one.

  • I think your missing the point hat the people in tehran are only a minority in iran, who are the elite and are not religious. iran, the Islamic Republic, forms its laws and social structure on islamic principles, these people cannot bear to live their rich lives under pressure.

SO YES AHMEDINIJAD most likely did win, because the majority poor, religious and traditional people vote for him. Its about time everyone sucks it up and moves on now instead of encouraging these protesters to vandalise and attack the streets of Tehran.

The Islamic Revolution of Iran will never fall no matter how hard external and internal forces try!

    • still accepting the challenge not to hate seems a better choice?
    • Yes. Agree.
  • You said a mouth full. There is only hope and prayer in this world and without we have nothing. The President is a good man and have done all the best he can. You are right, some are saying that he should say or do more, But I agree with Russell, he already said it in Cairo! The stand is Great because remember the Word, The First shall be last and the Last shall be First. We are on the rise and all cultures together can bring the world to PEACE.

may Allah/God almighty be with everyones family who has lost their member in this Iran Freedom Peace Revolution process. you will prevail.
