I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with Soulja Boy, but he had a total meltdown on twitter last night and some of his celebrity friends offered up words of encouragement. I’ve cut some of the irrelevant parts of his vent out but here’s the gist of what he posted before his team deleted it from his twitter early this morning:

My music dream was THE SH*T 2 years ago before I was signed. It was everything I could ever imagine. Then I get signed. this is where my dream slowly died.. these c*****z wanna criticize a ni**a. Take REAL SH*T and turn it to trash. Water down my music and my appearance and make me look like something I’m not. THESE C******S DONT KNOW WHO THE F**K I REALLY AM!!! I go to the studio make new music for my fans to enjoy and party to. They take my sh*t hate on me. Make me look ignorant in the media. It’s all bullsh*t. Like WHY do I have to put up with this? because it’s my dream? that sh*t died when crank that went #1

I know what you thinking. But SOULJA BOY its the American dream your rich I would kill to be in your shoes. thats what you THINK its all BS! They say soulja boy u changed. soulja boy u hollywood I ain’t ask for this SH*T!!!!!! I want it to go back to how it was before i was signed I might be soundin crazy now.. I don’t really know about alot of things these days. But I just want EveryBODY to know this sh*t. Just KNOW that i’m only 18 man… And it’s only so much I can do. It’s only so much I can take. If your really fans and love and support me. You would hear me out and help ya boy get thru this sh*t.. I know everybody is gonna have opinions on the things that i’m saying right now.. but there it is. I’m not perfect.

WOW! I dont even kno wat to say. its crazy cuz i jus had this strange feelin tht this wasn yu. lik imma be real, i never liked the crank tht. I prolly never will. I felt lik music was startin to sound the same. "Snap Music" no one can lik Snap Music tht much. and tht song is lik the butt of everybodies jokes. I feel yu on everything yu sayin tho bra. Jus keep yo head up and do yu NOT THEM! I repsect yu as a person and since I kno tht wasn the real yu, I have lik a new level of respect for yu man.

I don't know much about the rap game or rap music but I do know soulja boy. Everyone knows him, unless you've been living under a rock for the past year or so. His music is awesome and it's fun an when the Giants won the superbowl a couple years back, I remember one of the Giants players doing the bird dance when he scored a touchdown and at that point I knew soulja boy tell em was huge! Now I like your songs...they're catchy but educated black folk that I know only want to party to your music but don't take it seriously because they feel it has no substance. People on everyday jobs have meltdowns at times. The dream of being an entertainer always change once the business aspect enters it. You have to realize that as you grow your music and mentality wants to grow also but there are always people who want to prevent that growth from being creatively displayed. Money owns you so Money says you will be a good servant!Control your money or your money will control you the same way it controls the people around you!Slowly inject YOUR GROWTH into your music and we may find it easier to accept the taste! SOULJA ON BOY!!!

MAN dis n*gga is hella whack. He makes bullsh*t music. I show no sympathy because he isn’t anything to music except the unwanted stepchild. Work hard? Work hard doing what? Getting a beat, make a dance and say simple words helping furthering the stereotype of young black males? Suuurrre thats Hella hard work. If everyone could do it they would be you say? Shut up, some people have respect for the art and have something called integrity, not everyone lives by the almighty dollar. I hope he breaks under the pressure and lives his rich life out of the public eye.

Soulja Boy, if you need a real lawyer. Holla. I know all the tricks. I use to be a Royalties Attorney on the label side. After working on the label side, I did not want to have anything to do with the entertainment industry as a result of what I witnessed behind the scenes. I feel the way to beat the devil is to educate artists about their contract provisions before they enter into egregious artist and production contracts. Selah.
