**Globalgrind.com Exclusive** A lot of people talking about what I twittered the other night…so I want to address it, now that I have had some time to do some thinking. At 18 years, having grown up in the Mississippi Delta, I never thought my life would take me to where I am now. All I wanted to do was make music. All I thought I loved was music. I would die for that motherfuckin music. But, once I got a record deal and all these people around me trying to tell me who to be, what to do and how to do it, I realized that I wasn’t making music any more for the love. I got into this weird place where I began making music for the money. And I was making a lot of money…more money than I could ever imagine. And with that money, of course, I could buy a lot of things…but to be honest, you can only drive that brand new phantom around the corner oh so many times… and when you are done driving, it really don’t mean sh*t. I thought money was gonna bring me happiness. And that is the farthest thing from the truth. Money f*cks you up.

I know I might sound crazy, because a lot of you who are reading are probably like, I wish I had this ni**a’s money. But, the truth is that money got me twisted. All I want to do is go back to making music for the love of it. The accolades and the awards are for everyone else. The music is for me. The music is my happiness. So, of course I am struggling in my mind right now…cause I wanna get back to place where I woke up, thinking about what I was gonna write that day. Where I went to sleep ready to dream about what I was gonna write the next day.

I know my fans. And I know they will understand this. This ain’t got nothing to do with y’all. Oh yeah... sorry to all my white peeps out there. I'm not racist :) But I guess time will heal all wounds…

Just to be clear, I'm not a fan of soljaboy and I've never watched one video. I serve my own ego first and I'm too old for his music.

Also, the complaints about too much money, how money doesn't matter, and the struggle to stay authentic as an artist is a bunch of tired bullsh*t which has been repeated ad-nauseum by hundreds of musicians before him.

This whole speech doesn't mean sh*t if he doesn't give most of his money to his family, because no one else can call him on his bullsh*t like his own family. Otherwise, he's just like the others and will suffer a public collapse of identity from not keeping his family close enough.

Look, if the money is giving you problems, it's because of the disproportionate balance of power it creates. The money distorts the behavior of those around you.

If your family members each have a comparable amount of money to you, they can talk back to you and they will. But if they only have 5% or 10% of the money you have, they won't necessarily talk back the way they used to before you had money.

You have too much power relative to them. Are you really deserving of that much power relative to family members?

Therefore, give your family members enough money that they each end up with at least %50 the amount you end up with. I guarantee you'll be less lonely.

After that, you might be surprised by how family may give you no slack, but you can probably count on them to watch your back like no one else.

THANK YU!!!.. Fianlly someone admitted to it. Money can change who a person is and a lot of 'celebrities' forget about the love of music and go toward the money. Just like the things you buy money is a materialistic thing it will NEVA no matter how bad you want it to BRING YU HAPPINESS. it brings you fufillment for the moment you get what you always dreamed off. But you traded what you loved for the money! & im glad you came to your senses and relized it! a lot of other 'celebrities' need to do thee same kind of thinkin!!!!! So whateva you wanna do now, from this point,i stand behind you 500%. Keep it real!!!!!

I think your brutal honesty is what people need to hear sometime. When you are soft spoken and tryin to get your point across nobody cares to listen to you but when you SNAP then you are labeled the crazy 1!!!!! Take yo freedom and childhood back. As much as I love music I feel the music industry and the media really mess people up. Keep yo Head up
