This is shame. If I were to assault someone I would see some jail time, because of the badge this police officer will be on paid leave. The investigation will reveal that the victim looked similar to the suspect, therefore the police officer is justified with assaulting the young man.

I would like to see due justice. The officer should be treated like a civilian. There should be no double standard, he made a mistake but that doesn't mean receives a lenient penalty.

I live in Seattle and the police are like this. With that uniform on, they think they're judge, jury, and executioners. Their mentality.. It really is a shame.

The cop will probably get off with a slap on the wrist and the victim will b labeled as a bad seed...

No college education.
Not even remotely in the top half of their classes in high school.
8 weeks of training and given the power to carry guns and badges and arrest people.

A judge or attorney cannot do what they do and they have 7 years of school and actually know the law.
I have 3 degrees and years of school and I can't carry around a gun and arrest people.
This is the creation of America's embrace of mediocrity and disregard of education.
Even the President of the United States of America cannot do what a rookie cop can do to someone.
