Though I have not listened to the interview. I have always taught so about the media when it came to A.I. and when he was in Philly, his negative reputation created by the media precedes him, which is so shameful for such a talented individuals and people wonder why sometimes I don't care for the news or any news programming. Too much bad press about Black Americans ... look what they did to Whitney? Mariah (yes because she has some black in her and she thinks she is black more than white lol)? Janet? Michael? Jesse Jackson? Latoya Jackson? among others, should I go on??? We allow White control media to skin us alive too much and we need to fight together as one to prevent this from continuing to happen to our great leaders of the world. Next they are going to go after President Obama, you all just watch and see my words come into fruition.

Good post. I can understand where A.I. is coming from. Just the fact that he had a charity was a surprise to me. I'm used to thinking negative of him and I'm surprised I let the media do that to me. This man wants to be remembered as one of the greats. HE IS. He does not want to end up a story similar to Michaels. Russell throw these people a highlight reel for A.I. to refresh our memories and get him an interview. Where he came from to what he accomplished so early is amazing and to see him mature and overcome at 34 should be felt. Respect.

You are right all the media do is focus on the bad that someone does in his/her life. They never ever look at the good things that you do for the community. Whether they say good or bad things about you..just remember to keep your head up and always pray that God will continue to give you the strength you need to deal with all the mess that the media dishes out!!
