I'm so sorry but I have to say something. It’s simple. If you have nothing nice to say why say it. Rather shut up and say nothing. You have to be a rather nasty natured person to comment negatively on something when all Kim is trying to do is use the celebrity profile she has to highlight a cause like The Diamond Empowerment Fund. Rather shut up and keep your negative comments to yourself, they serve nobody other than your own ego's to see your comments in print. You should be commending Kim for taking time out to highlight this cause. I'm a South African, and I'm very proud Kim is in Africa to support a cause that is close to my heart and a cause that benefits so many South Africans. Ask yourself this question: What have I done today to help those in need? I can tell you Kim has done more than you today. Simple!!! So keep your negative comments to yourself and rather use that energy to benefit others.

Who cares if you or she is doing it for the right reason, its getting done its OBVIOUSLY getting enough attention which is great, so I say GOOD JOB KIM!!!! What goes around comes around right...

Charitable work shouldn't be judged UNLESS it's being done by a publicity whore that is known for staging photos and posting her business on a blog, and sending pictures/stories of herself and family to different websites and always looking for attention. So when it comes to you Kim - yes, it's going to be questioned.

Kim neeeds to shut up. She is always playing innocent but it is she that draws the negative attention. She has been bragging about this trip for a while as if she is going to get a prize because she went to the trendy spot, South Africa. Like she is really know for something anyway to be taken seriously. Kim is self-centered. She think the world revolves around her. Everything is about her; how she can benefit for something. Why not send your nieces Russell? They are positive respectufl sisters that are not attention whore or famous for having sex on tape.

Ruseell Simmons gets thumbs down from me for this. Kim is nothing more than a media whore. This is all for attention. There are so many REAL celebrities out there that are geninue about helping others, but instead he links up with Ms. Sex Tape star and attacks her name to such a meaningful cause. She has been talking about this trip, more so about the "vacation" aspect of it, not that cause. When you do things you do it from the heart. Not to get brownie points. I will no longer support this cause.

These people are so in need of media attention. Charity shouldnt be judged is right, but why the need to publicize the one thing u do. Russell Simmons promotes education, but put a socialite out there, a sex tape symbol, to do the job. Its amazing to me that he promotes empowerment of youth, but allows the face of the campaign to be an uneducated woman. Young black people need strong individuals with moraals and values. Would he let his daughters look up to her, I think not.

Kim, it shouldn't matter that your name is attached to the work, do it because YOU want to make a difference and YOU want to help. Not because you're affiliating yourself with a particular organization to get your name out. Like others have said, it's not the charity work being judged, it's the person and your motives for really going. But since you'll be doing "charity" work, what exactly will you be doing, helping re-build, learning about the communities, anything hands on? Or are you just making an appearance and calling that charity work? All critisism aside, who cares about what we think? Do it for yourself, actually take away and learn something.

Why is it that there are so many other celebrities doing the same thing and they are not getting as much hype as Kim kardashian...NO ONE CARES about what kim is doing....wow shes helping out...thats great why make a big deal about it. Do you know how many other celebrities do 10 times more than what she does but they dont get a big hype over it.
