I find it very hard to believe, based on her prior public actions, that Kim is doing this "charity" work for anything other than publicity for herself. I heard her on a Detroit radio station say that she doesn't care about anything but ending up "rich as hell". I also find it very short sighted on Russell Simmons' part to believe that Kim's fame (or notoriety) will do anything to help the situation in South Africa. Lastly, I will say that I have a daughter and it scares me to think that women like Kim Kardashian--an uneducated, seemingly pampered "princess" that sold her own sex tape--is being promoted as a role model to young women anywhere.

You guys are all hilarious. Seriously. Have any of you who are fighting on here actually BEEN to Africa??? I'll bet not. I live in South Africa and let me tell you children a few things. Firstly, "Jazmine", I don't know where you get your facts "from all your east to west African friends" about white people using blacks. No no sweetness. You have absolutely no idea what is going on in my country. The situation with poverty and the lack of education has improved over the last 15 years, however we still need funds and good causes like this one. And people like Kim attract the attention we need to help raise money for this. Kim is a star. For whatever reason, people know her name. It's irrelevant whether it's a sex tape, her last name or a show on E! She made human mistakes, so what? If you really want to get silly about the lives of the Kardashians, look how Scott treated Kourtney and he's white! Who cares what colour Reggie or Kim is??? The point is, what they are trying to do in my country is wonderful and we are all very excited to have her here. Our townships are made up of blacks. And those kids aren't always allowed access to the education they need. There is a massive amount of politics in South Africa, and it's almost impossible to get into it all, but at the end of the day, Kim and Reggie (and Russel) are doing a good thing and all of you who are talking so much KUK (Jazmine should know what that SA word means since she is sooooo connected to this country) should get off your high horses and focus on what really matters.
