Updated via TMZ Kelis just hit the jackpot in court today -- a judge awarded her a ton of money in her bitter divorce battle with estranged hubby Nas. A judge decided Nas has to pay Kelis $55,000 a month in combined spousal and child support -- plus the mortgage on their L.A. residence. Nas also has to pay Kelis -- who gave birth last night to the couple's only child -- for the baby nurse, prenatal expenses and medical insurance. The rapper also has to pay $35,000 to his worst nightmare -- Kelis' lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser.Kelis‘ reps just sent over the official statement regarding the birth of her and Nas‘ new baby boy Knight Jones:“Kelis gave birth to Knight Jones last night on July 22nd around 9PM. Weighing a healthy 7.8lbs, the beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful. This was a natural birth and Kelis had been in labor since early Monday morning around 2AM. Knight was delivered in a NYC hospital with her mother and sister in the room.Sounds like reports of Nas NOT being bedside and Kelis being in labor for over 24 hours are indeed true. Congrats on the new baby boy! I’m sure he’s a cutie.Ok so I did it, he’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth…I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth…I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect btw

Damn! Im sad to hear that they are getting divorced! I really would like to know what happen with that because you would think with them haveing a new baby boy it would be a time to put past in tha past for the baby's sake! I can understand if its cheating involved why she would want a divorce but I dont think she thought about it long enough! Financially she will be fine but now its another black couple that got divorced! Just a statistic! $55,000 a mo. huh! I guess it is cheaper to keep her!

This seems like a really unfair judgement!! It'd be cheaper for him if they stayed married! I hope there is a fair custody/visitation schedule for Nas it's the least they could do since he's supporting her as well as the baby. Money means prenup, so things don't turn out like this....

WOW! She went hard ol'girl must be mad... or on B.S.! If this is some 'get back' crap she needs to remember YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW! Hopefully she will use the money for the child and not for keeping herself in a way of life. She should have used her money better, if she is tryin to keep living like she did while she was with him. The oldest baby isn't getting that ticket... WOW! What big ticket items has the judge bought since making that bogus judgement?????
