Pastry co-creator and Daddy’s Girls star, Angela Simmons, was spotted last Saturday, July 18th 2009, at the Art For Life East Hampton 10th Anniversary benefit event.  She sported a new hairdo, and a truly elegant look. Angela attended the event with her bro, Jojo Simmons, her dad Rev. Run and Vanessa… Williams, that is.  Vanessa Simmons was not there at the event, she’s probably in LA. That is one sexy and elegant backless dress, Angela.  Well done on the taste department as usual. Question: do you think she cut her hair, merely style it to a faux bob, or was she wearing a wig?  Because that is one cute hairdo! Angela kicked it in with Adriene Bailon.  Who do you think ran it?  And what are those heels Angela rocked? Here’s a closer look borrowed from Diggy Simmons’ blog. Although, as Diggy wrote on his blog, that the party is black and white only, Angela rocked cute blue toenails underneath that beautiful glittery peep toe heels.  Are those Pastry heels? The Simmons siblings looked cool hanging out together, even without Vanessa. Angela and Diggy Simmons was busy up the stage as well.  What were they doing in the event anyway? Angela’s uncle, Russell Simmons along with his brothers Danny and Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons, founded the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation in 1995, a 501 (C) 3 organization which is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant arts exposure, access and education as well as providing exhibition opportunities to up-and-coming artists and artists of color. Diggy Simmons simply put it in his blog: “…my heart sank it was no joke I saw people in tears it feels great to help the world especially through something I love which is music giving kids instruments and classes that can’t afford and doing the same for and giving children a paint brush and art classes that can’t as well.” Rush Philanthropic has served over 700,000 urban youth with millions of dollars fund directed from donors, leading corporations to undeserved youth and established two exhibit and education facilities: Rush Arts Gallery and Resource Center and Corridor Gallery. Again, a well-accomplished family indeed!
