Real Atlanta Housewife Lisa Wu Hartwell and her husband former Oakland Raider, Ed Hartwell, have really lost their palatial Atlanta mansion to foreclosure. According to TMZ.com, the couple's home at auction to the highest bidder. The home located in Duluth, Georgia not unlike most homes in America lost significant value since the couple purchased it in 2007. In fact, the home was sold for $1MM less than what the Hartwells paid for it
According to a rep for the Hartwells, they were in the process of renegotiating the terms of their loan however the couple was unsuccessful. The loss of their home represents the third cast member of the hit Bravo series "Real Housewives of Atlanta" to fall victim to the economic downturn and housing slump. According to Lisa, in an interview today with the AJC, it didn't make economic sense to keep paying on a home whose value was significantly less than the value of the mortgage. Lisa said she and her husband Ed left the home voluntarily “Ed and I are not ignorant of the state of the economy,” she said. “We chose to move. We were not evicted. It was a decision we made. It was not made for us.”
The couple has already settled into their new digs on 10 acres of land! Apparently, the couple already owned the property. Maybe now they can continue working on those additional bambinos!
