Sweet couple! But yes, no wonder the kids felt left out. They were on the cover of the hardcover version, which had a different title: “Take Back Your Family: A Challenge to America’s Parents”.
Rev. Run and Justine gave an interview to DailyWildCat.com about their joint venture:
Justine Simmons: Vanessa and Angela are in L.A. and he (Reverend Run) calls them, I mean, I don’t know if they even lived in L.A. would they talk as much.
Reverend Run: I talk to them all the time.
Justine Simmons: I mean he’s constantly (talking to them) about everything, though.
Reverend Run: We’re meeting up with Angela tomorrow. We’re going to Dallas, she lives in L.A., and her boyfriend happens to live in Dallas and she’s meeting us there. So we know that if she’s chasing us, what lets us know that we believe that guilt brings distance and her boyfriend comes around, so we look at them and (say) OK they must not have so much guilt. They came and stayed in the house with us in Florida for a couple of days. So if I see someone trying to get the further you are away from me, the further you are going away towards the door. So when I noticed when my kids are pulling away, then I know that there’s something there that they are trying to hide.
