MICHAEL Jackson killed himself by mistake, taking an overdose of anaesthetic, his medic, Dr Conrad Murray will claim.
News of the World reports that Murray’s legal team will argue that the star, desperate to fall asleep, administered himself a killer dose of the drug Propofol, which allegedly killed him.
Murray, 56, is suspected of issuing Jackson with a lethal dose of the surgical-strength anaesthetic. The newspaper reported that Jackson allegeddly re-set his drip and increased the 25ml dosage Murray issued, which eventually led to cardiac arrest.
Last Friday, it was confirmed that Jackson died of acute Propofol intoxication mixed with a cocktail of other sedatives on June 25. The star’s death has officially been ruled a homicide by the LA County coroner.
The Sun reports that the coroner confirmed said Propofol and sedative Lorazepam were the ‘‘primary drugs’ ’ responsible for his death. Murray has admitted administering both on the night he died.
