**UPDATE** Tila has tweeted some more...

San Diego Chargers star outside linebacker Shawne Merriman says he didn’t harm Tila Tequila, who has accused him of choking and restraining her.

Merriman says in a statement late Sunday that he was worried for the safety of Tila Tequila because she appeared to be intoxicated and he didn’t want her to drive.

San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Steadman says Merriman was arrested early Sunday when the 27-year-old Tequila signed a citizen’s arrest warrant charging him with battery and false imprisonment. Both are felonies.

Global Grind has also learned from a close friend of Tila's that she does not drink and that if she does drinkm, she gets alcohol poisoning. We hope that she is ok, and that she fully recovers.

It is official! This chick is sick, and wants attention. I am so tired of seeing guys get arrested behind a woman. Why she put that man name out in the streets like that? Now this guy is paying attorney fees just to clear his name. I hope he learned his lesson, and will leave her the hell alone.
