The new version of Conan The Barbarian is in theaters now, and it tells the epic tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village. If you’re paying attention you’ll see the extremely talented model turned actress Alina Puscau in the film. We had the chance to talk to the beauty while she relaxed by the pool of her Malibu hotel. You can check out the interview below.

So how does it feel to be apart of the remake of Conan The Barbarian?

Oh my god, it feels amazing.  I’m very grateful for the opportunity. I had the chance to work with an amazing cast and crew.

Can you tell us more about your character in Conan?

My character in Conan, well first and foremost you guys should go and see it and it’s in theaters this weekend, let’s just say you don’t want to miss out, I have a surprise for you.

Should be fun, so can you tell us how is acting different from modeling?

Modeling is like acting, one day you shoot for Victoria’s Secret and the next day you shoot for Harper’s Bazaar. You still have to get into the character, but acting is more intense.

So tell us what’s the most fun you had on set?

When I shot this movie it was a lot of fun. We had a blast. We worked really hard, we partied. We were shooting on the beach, so it was a lot of fun. We were like a family who got along with each other and we had a blast.

We interviewed the actor who played Young Conan, Leo Howard. Did you get the chance to meet him?

I met him the other night and he’s so sweet. In the movie he is so talented, that guy is going to be a star. I met his parents and they are very supportive of him. It’s amazing when you see parents that are supportive of their children. In general parents don’t understand your passion for what you want to do. They try to push you to go to school, and do certain stuff which is exactly what they wanted to do for themselves. So I was surprised that the family was supporting Leo, to pursue his dreams. That was amazing, because my family didn’t believe in me, and never helped me pursue my dreams I had to do it on my own.

Once you accomplished your dreams, how did it feel knowing you did it without the support or help from your family?

It felt amazing, it was a blessing and I’m grateful to have this opportunity. It felt like I’ve accomplished my dream, I worked really hard. I studied acting for five years, but to become a good actor I had to work and study everyday and it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a lot of work. People think she’s in a movie, she’s a star but they don’t know how much work it takes to get there.

You were also in the movie, Shallow Hal. How was your experience on that set?

I was 17 when I did Shallow Hal and I didn’t speak one word of English. It was fun, I loved being on the set. It was just amazing I never thought I wanted to be an actress, but since I started taking acting classes and learned a lot from my ex I just felt like it was given to me. But one day I discovered I was made for this.

Well that’s just great, we want everyone to go see Conan, this weekend.
