Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj‘s big blow up during American Idol auditions have been the talk of the town and while some have speculated that the producers of the show set the whole thing up to boost ratings, the staff is finally responding.

The hit show’s producers released the following statement:
“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next AMERICAN IDOL. Despite all the accusations and media speculation — much of which is inaccurate — production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge.”
Mariah Carey reportedly revealed to The View‘s Barbara Walter’s that the Barbz queen was very violent towards her and said, “If I had a gun I would shoot the bitch.”
According to one of Mariah’s best friends, B. Scott, this isn’t the first time she believes Nicki has acted out at Mariah.
B. Scott, recently told TMZ that he thinks Nicki has been mean to her in the past during their 2010 video shoot for their collabo “Up Out My Face”.
The site reports:
“Mariah went out of her way to be nice to Nicki and make her comfortable.” But Scott says Nicki was a raving bitch, “making faces at her [Mariah] laced with rude comments under her breath.”
Scott says he blew the whistle on Nicki by giving Mariah the low down. Scott says Mariah decided not to confront Nicki and acted as if nothing had happened.

While B. Scott wants to try and prove that Nicki is to blame, her camp seems to be thinking differently.
The site also reports:
A source close to Nicki tells TMZ … Scott is a liar because, “He works as Mariah’s stunt double and of course he would say things like that. He’s worked for her for years.”
Scott says he stayed in touch with Mariah and spoke with her Thursday night. Mariah says she wants to bury the hatchet with Nicki on “A.I.” and focus on the contestants.
Since the incident, MC has reportedly beefed up her security as the show continues to go on.
Hopefully these two power women can peacefully co-exist for a successful season.
