Chris Brown Should Be More Famous! He Needs An Intervention

Chris Brown is a dancing machine. Not since Michael Jackson has there been a phenomenon to grace the stage and put together musical routines like Breezy. His songs are pretty damn good. I must admit when I hear songs like "Strip" and "Don't Judge Me," I can't help but think that this dude should be the biggest singer in the R&B world. 

But then while I'm bopping my head, I'll read a story about another Chris Brown tantrum. Something like Breezy goons chase down Frank Ocean after Twitter beef, or Chris breaks window at ABC, or worse. I'll see a picture of our hero in a club fight, where he tweets all this thugged out obscenities about how he is more gangster than a rapper. 

While this is just normal fodder for more rappers, singers, athletes, actors and actresses, it's different for Chris Brown, because he's not talking to the media. He's not doing interviews and that is why I feel like he's killing his own career. 

Maybe kill is a harsh word, but in my opinion, his media silence is the sole reason he's not living up to his expectations. Sure I get it, the media aren't the most understanding. They see a story and blow it out of proportion and make everything bigger than it really is. But hey, that's their job!

When you add in bloggers like myself who take the facts and give our OPINIONS - some favorable, some not - it's probably even more reason for Chris to hate the media. 

But I urge him to break that silence for his own good. Right now, Chris Brown is getting his ass whipped by the mainstream media and he's letting them win. He's letting them win by letting them control his story. 

The story of Breezy being a nice guy is not being told. Few people get the full context of how much art makes him happy. How art is his release from the drama, lies, and misconceptions about him. 

Each day he doesn't talk to the media, more and more people feel like they have no clue who Chris Brown is anymore, and they realize he just doesn't relate to them like he did when they were 16. 

But this isn't something Chris can't fix. The world wants to love his relationship with Karrueche. A relationship that allows him to rub on other women, and pull their hair while she watches. A relationship where she has her back to the camera while being the only girl in the room as his boys take a flick. A relationship that is nothing like his last relationship with Rihanna. 

The world loves Karrueche. 

The world loves Chris Brown's art. 

The world loves Chris Brown's dance moves.

The world would love more of everything Chris does if he just fixed the things around him. 

First, he needs to stop fighting. There is no need to fight when you realize people don't hate you. Despite the fraction of people who can't get past the past, if Chris is half as cool as we think he is, the world will embrace him.

Get rid of the goons. It's one thing to have security, but it's another thing to have goons surrounding you.

It might be good for Chris to start doing interviews again. Break out a contract, have people sign a waiver, and simply don't answer questions that might cause a stir. Politicians do it all the time.

I just feel like Chris Brown should be more famous, but for all the right reasons, and not all the wrong reasons. In due time.
