COACHELLA CHICKS AND STICKS: Katy Perry Glows, Alessandra Sips & Vanessa Hudgens Goes Hippy (PHOTOS)

As Day 1 of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2011 kicked off at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California the stars shined from above and the crowd at the biggest names in Hip-Pop came out to support.

Katy Perry watched bands like Sleigh Bells and Robyn do their thing on stage. One artist had Katy tweeting, "ROBYN IS THE ILLEST." Biggie Small would be proud.

We scoured the crowd of Coachella for big names like Usher, Vanessa Hudgens, Tyler The Creator, Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Greene to name a few. They were all in the crowd some drinking beer, others sipping coconut water, but all of them having a great time.
