Last November, one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, announced they were heading down the road to Splitsville.
While it has been nearly 7 months since their separation and Ashton’s public cheating scandal, neither party has legally filed divorce papers.
Well, what’s the hold up?
DETAILS: Demi Moore Drops The Kutcher From Her Twitter!
According to Radar Online, friends of the couple think they know the REAL reason. A source tells them:
“There has been speculation for a while that Demi and Ashton were never actually legally married and that’s why they haven’t filed divorce papers yet. Some people think that they were just married in a symbolic Kabbalah ceremony and that they never actually filed paperwork to make it legal.”
The media outlet goes on to say:
“Demi was adamant about splitting with Ashton and everyone thought it would happen at the end of the year. Then when she went into rehab no one expected her to file. But now that she’s out and doing better some people around her are surprised that she hasn’t taken the steps to end the marriage. They’re wondering if the reason they haven’t filed divorce papers is because there aren’t any to file.”
If the once happy couple, who were married for 6 years, want to take their time on the divorce process, let them. Maybe they have plans to simply work things out … or want to take baby steps towards separating!
