When I first saw the headline, “Fantasia Confirms She’s Pregnant,” I did not hesitate to click on it.

From hearing the many rumors and blog stories about Fantasia Barrino, I knew the story was only going to get better and better.

The impulsive announcement came as Fantasia was performing for an apartment opening in Jacksonville, Fla. The former American Idol winner was delivering some of her songs when she felt compelled to share this information with her fans. Before she started to go into her next song, Fantasia confirmed she was pregnant and she did not have to hide it anymore.

However, once the news broke, everyone quickly began to criticize Fantasia.

But why?

Last year, Fantasia found herself in legal woes dealing with her alleged boyfriend Antwaun Cook whom she first met working in a T-Mobile store in Charlotte, N.C.

After news of the affair broke, Barrino later attempted suicide which was documented on her VH1 reality show, Fantasia For Real.

After we all thought her involvement was over with Cook, photos surfaced of the couple hanging out in Barbados. Amidst the drama maybe she did not leave him after all.
