Atlantic City is known as a place that you go to only when you're ready to spend big money and gamble against the big dogs. But the city's entertainment expands beyond gambling and during the summer it has endless free activities that both parents and kids can enjoy. So grab your suitcases, round up the entire family and hop in your vehicle and head down to Atlantic City for a mini summer vacay that won't empty your pockets.

Atlantic City Summer Concert Series:

Throughout the summer months, the Atlantic City Free Public Library does its annual summer concert series at Gardner's Basin, which features free outdoor entertainment and live music that the whole family can enjoy. The shows begin at 1 p.m. on Saturdays and go until dusk, so even if you want to hit the beach or walk the boardwalk before you groove to some summer tunes you can.
