It's another Friday!
The weekend is here and thankfully you made it through another work week unscathed, but the week isn't finished yet. Today we have some great activities for you to consider if you happen to be in Berlin. The best part is that everything is free of charge. It's all in this installment of Dollars & Sense. Enjoy!
Climb The Glass Dome Of The Reichstag
Endure the long lines and stringent security to catch the lift to the top of the seat of Germany’s parliament. The Reichstag is a fitting example of Berlin’s weird mix of the old and new: the original building was constructed in 1884 and fell into disrepair during the Second World War, before being restored after reunification with the addition of its ethereal and strikingly modern glass dome, designed by Sir Norman Foster.
Wind you way up the spiral walkway for 360-degree views of Berlin, stare up the mirrorored core and walk out onto the wind-swept viewing platforms. As one of Berlin's most well known landmarks, it's one of the best free activities around.
