Update: Giuliana Rancic Soldiers Through Breast Cancer Surgery

Only two days after announcing she had breast cancer, Giuliana Rancic underwent surgery for a double lumpectomy as part of her treatment.

The E! news anchor had cancerous lumps removed from both breasts, along with several lymph nodes this past Tuesday.

Giuliana's husband Bill Rancic put a bit of everyone's worry to rest, announcing that Giuliana is "doing well" on The Today Show earlier this morning.

Her hubby has been very supportive, telling the morning show:

"Giuliana has had a tough year and a half. Between the IVF attempts and now with this, I wish I could carry some of the load. Watching her being wheeled into that operating room was heartbreaking for me. I'm just doing everything I can to support her and make sure that she's comfortable."

Giuliana is scheduled to return to work just next week and is also set to begin six weeks of radiation very soon.
