The topless pictures of Kate Middleton sunbathing in France have shocked the world and led to harsh legal action to be taken against the publisher and it appears the royals’ nude flick dilemmas won’t be ending anytime soon.
According to the Huffington Post, The Irish Daily Star published the pictures, which has resulted in condemnation as the St. James’s Palace reacted with fury.

Part owners of the paper have disowned the action and said that they “abhor” the decision and “very much regret the distress is has caused”.
Richard Desmond, chairman of Northern and Shell has said he is taking “immediate steps” to close down his joint venture with the paper and end any ties with the publication.
A spokeswoman for St. James’s Palace claims that the paper published the photos out of greed:
“There can be no motivation for this action other than greed.”
The communications director of Northern and Shell stated:
“We abhor the decision of the Irish Daily Star to publish these intrusive pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which we, like St James’s Palace, believe to be a grotesque invasion of their privacy.”
Even the editor of the Daily Star located in Britain told Sky News:
“It’s absolutely disgusting. We’re horrified here in the office and and as a company. I’m speaking for the Daily Star Sunday and for four other responsible titles in Northern and Shell. This has no merit as an editorial decision, no merit morally. It’s frankly a horrible decision.”

Unfortunately, not everyone believes publishing the photos was distasteful, since Mike O’Kane, Editor of the Irish Daily Star, told BBC:
“The Duchess would be no different to any other celeb pics we would get in, for example Rihanna or Lady Gaga.
She’s not the future Queen of Ireland so really the only place this is causing fury seems to be in the UK, and they are very, very tasteful pictures.”
The royal couple are reportedly already taking legal action against the Italian mag Chi for their publication of the photos so we’re sure these guys may be next.
It looks like their are several opinions swirling on the these pics but does the editor have a good point in comparing the duchess to pop diva Lady Gaga?
