It looks like J. R. Martinez has fans from all walks of life.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has officially invited soldier-turned-actor-turned-dancer J.R. Martinez and current Dancing With The Stars champ, to meet him at the Pentagon.

Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby revealed that the dance champ and Defense Secretary spoke on the phone for about 10 minutes on Friday where Leon told J.R. he demonstrated the strength and resilience of wounded veterans.

J.R., who openly spoke about this experiences as a soldier while on DWTS, told Leon that he credits his military training for his performance on the ABC show, Kirby said.
