Jay-Z is not only a music artist, he’s an art lover.
The Watch The Throne rapper dropped $20K at the Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation last night, purchasing a beautiful work of art from 31-year-old Chicago artist Hebru Brantley.
Brantley was a finalist in the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series, but it wasn’t until the last day of the art fair that his work was discovered by the King of Hip-Hop, who is down in MIA to partake in the festivities of Miami Art Basel.
The work of art is titled “Everyone’s Scared” and you can take a glimpse of it below.
Hebru Instagrammed about his epic day, saying:
Last day of #artbasel and my work goes into the Sean Carter Collection. Thanks Jay and B for your hospitality. JAYZ OWNS A HEBRU BRANTLEY!!!#jayz #beyonce
Congrats to him and Jay-Z on doing business together. Now we gotta stack our paper up to get one for the office!
