Jay-Z is chucking up the deuces to BK – The Brooklyn Nets that is.

According to new reports, Jay is looking to sell his share in the NBA team in order to advance his newly launched Roc Nation Sports venture and sign a couple basketball players of his own.

DETAILS: Jay-Z Signs A New Multi-Million Dollar Deal

Yahoo Sports reports:

Selling his share of the Nets is a necessary prelude for Jay-Z to obtain his National Basketball Players Association certification as an agent. NBA rules mandate that no one individual affiliated with a player representation company can have an ownership stake with an NBA team.

We might still see Jay courtside during the Brooklyn Nets playoff games however, because the sell of his share is expected to happen by June. Just in time for Hova to try to land some of the rookies coming into this year’s NBA draft.

Those within Roc Nation and the CAA alliance aren’t “chasing a clock on this,” one source said. “This isn’t about one draft, but taking the long view of the business.”

Hov’s courtside tickets might be safe for just a little bit longer. Maybe Jay-Z will become a Knick fan again!
