Jennifer Hudson was spotted looking slim and svelte as she waved to fans in Washington Heights yesterday. We're pretty sure we've never seen the accomplished singer/actress ever look happier or healthier!

With her adorable son David Otunga in hand, Jennifer made her way to the set of her TV show Smash at the United Palace Theatre to film a new scene. Decked out in a tight-fitting pretty pink dress and a sweater coat, JHud was fashionable and fearlessly showing off her new figure.

Hudson has been cast in the hit show Smash as Veronica Moore, a big-time Broadway singer, who tangles with Katherine McPhee's character. 

According to NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt: "Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it."
