J Hud Turned Down "Precious" To Get Healthy (DETAILS)

Jennifer Hudson decided a couple of years ago to shed the extra pounds, which called for a huge change in her lifestyle, including the roles she decided to take on.

Apparently, the "Dreamgirls" star was offered the role of "Precious" in the Oscar nominated movie. Unfortunately, JHud decided she didn't want to take on roles because of her weight.

She told Uptown Magazine:

"I had done that with Effie… and as much as I was moved by this film,” she said. “I wanted to try a role that had nothing whatsoever to do with my weight.”

After turning down the Oscar-winning role, Jennifer lost 80 pounds and appeared in the first Sex And The City movie!
