As Selena Gomez was quoted as saying getting caught on the "Kiss Cam" at the Lakers game recently was one of the most humiliating experiences of her life (way to make your man feel good, Selena), rumors have come about that the 19-year-old may be engaged to her worshipped boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday that the young couple "were spied closely eyeing some pricy bling in a couple of major jewelry stores." Sources "close to" the teens are also "convinced an engagement is in the very near future."

But, to shoot down those rumors, a gossip site called Socyberty posted an alleged interview with Justin in which he revealed he was enrolling at Cornell University in the fall.

But, to address the rumors, a source close to Bieber told the site Gossip Cop that the "interview" about college is completely fake. And as for those engagement rumors, his rep told E! News there's no truth to that, either.
