The divorce between Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise this past summer may have been quick and easy, but it still seemed to take a toll on Katie.
The 33-year-old actress might be smiling in paparazzi photos now, but right after she filed for divorce, it turns out she got back in contact with her ex-flame Joshua Jackson!

Joshua recently appeared on the George Stoumboulopoulos Tonight show, where he talked about getting a call for Katie since she became single:
“Yeah, actually. Like any old friend… It was like, ‘Oh, hi how are ya? What’s going on?’ ‘I had a kid’ ‘Yeah, that’s crazy, I heard!
“It was nice. It was very nice, actually.”

The two starred in Dawson’s Creek together back in the 1990s, during which they dated for some time, and were each other’s “first loves.”
We’re glad that Katie felt like she had Joshua to confide in during her tough divorce. However, Josh is currently loved up with his girlfriend of six years, German actress Diane Kruger.
