Katie Holmes may have had a few tricks up her sleeve throughout the divorce process!

Katie, who was recently photographed spending time with daughter Suri in a local New York City zoo, used a disposable cell phone to plan and initiate her divorce from Tom Cruise.

According to MTV, the phone was provided by a close friend. The disposable phone allowed her to build a legal case without Tom and his staff noticing or discovering her plans. Smart!

Although the 33-year-old actress could've used her own personal cell phone or house phone, she felt she was being monitored by people affiliated with the Church of Scientology.

Katie's plans have reportedly worked out, as she's so far received everything she wanted in the divorce, including primary physical custody of the couple's daughter and power over how she will be educated.
