It looks like the Kardashian tabloid magazine will not be hitting a newsstand near you anytime soon.
The Kardashians, who were in talks to have a magazine devoted to their family, have put an end to negotiations.
NY Post reports:
The deal turned sour after Kris Jenner demanded she have editorial approval over every AMI publication to ensure wall-to-wall positive coverage of the reality superstars.
“AMI chief David Pecker made it clear that there was no way he was going to tell his editors what stories they could and couldn’t do," a source told the Post.
AMI publications also owns Star magazine, which published the 'Khloe is not a Kardashian' story.
It looks like the deal could have ended over that very story. A rep for Kris Jenner added:
"Kris has never had a conversation with AMI regarding this issue [of her demands]. But, the allegations contained in the Star article about Khloe not being a Kardashian are completely fabricated, false and untrue. Robert Kardashian is absolutely her biological father, so of course she was upset over their story.”
Too bad the deal fell through, it would have been rather interesting to have an entire Kard magazine.
At least we still have daily pictures of the Kardashian clan. Check out the family at the LA Clipper's game!
