Lamar Odom is going back to Cali.

DETAILS: Baby Or Bust! Lamar and Khloe Try For A Kid

In shocking news, the NBA forward and the Dallas Mavericks are parting ways. 

Rather than being released outright, Odom will be made “inactive” for the remainder of the season.

In a statement released, Lamar said:

“The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it’s in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team,” Odom said in a statement.

He continued, “I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”

Lamar was traded from the L.A. Lakers before the season started and the trade has been mutually unsuccessful.

In the meantime, we assume Lamar and Khloe will be heading back to California where they originally cohabited. We can only imagine what's next for one of our favorite couples. Stay tuned.
