Lena Dunham recently was caught in the middle of a Twitter controversy when her friend Lisa Lampanelli posted a photo of her on the social network calling her "my ni**a".

This caused most of Lisa's followers and a lot of the Twitterverse to go into a frenzy, since she used the N-word.

The Girls star didn't response to her use of the word until an online journalist called her out for causing even more controversy by staying silent.
