The drama never seems to end for Lindsay Lohan.

It has just been discovered that the man accused of assaulting Lindsay Lohan, Christian LaBella, is a congressional staffer and he has filed a harassment complaint against the actress.
Labella has been working in Washington for Republican Rep. John Shimkus of Illinois and was partying in NYC at the W with other friends, including celebrity booker Claus Hjelmbak.
The NY Daily News reports:
At about 6 a.m., she took LaBella’s cellphone and got upset after discovering pictures of herself, taken earlier in the evening, police sources said.LaBella demanded she return the phone, but Lohan balked — and told cops he threw her down on the bed and scratched her. She ran out of the 15th floor room and scurried down several flights of stairs, with Hjelmbak in tow. When the “Mean Girls” star and her hunky pal began walking back up the stairs, they again encountered LaBella, sources said. She claimed that he choked her from behind and threw her to the floor before Hjelmbak yanked him away, cops said. Lohan pulled the fire alarm for help as he fled, police said.
La Bella was soon captured by police and charged with assault but this was later dropped and instead Lindsay and the congressional staffer filed harassment complaints on each other.

The assault charge was to be tossed hours later because Lohan refused medical attention and did not appear to be seriously hurt, sources said. They filed harassment complaints against each other — but the charge is so minor they won’t even have to appear in court, sources said.LaBella left the stationhouse without speaking to reporters and his family could not be reached for comment — but his boss isn’t too happy about being dragged into the mess. “While no one from Congressman Shimkus’ office has been contacted by Mr. LaBella following his arrest, he has been an employee in the Congressman’s Washington office,” the pol confirmed in an email.
“Obviously, the Congressman does not condone his actions.”As she comforted her daughter, Dina Lohan tells the newspapers:
“She’s very shaken up.” “Thank God he didn’t have a weapon.”

Lohan told cops she’d met the man at 1 Oak nightclub and invited him back to her room at the W Hotel, along with some of her friends.
An argument ensued over photos she said he’d taken of her on his cell phone. She took it from him, and he then punched and choked her, the troubled actress claimed.
A spokesperson for the NYPD tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that they took the “assault report” of the incident at 6 am. The “victim” was not injured.

An officer tells the site:
“We are currently interviewing a person of interest. No charges have yet been filed.”
According to TMZ, a friend of Lindsay’s had to help her get away. The site reports:
According to our sources, a friend of hers was able to pull the man off her. Lohan claims she pulled the fire alarm to signal for help and cops were able to arrive in time to arrest the man.
Law enforcement sources in NY tell TMZ the man was idenitifed as Christian LaBella. He was arrested on 2 misdemeanor counts of assault and 2 charges of harassment.
Christian LaBella apparently has a celebrity past according to his Facebook profile. TMZ also reports:
LaBella’s Facebook page shows a guy who certainly enjoys taking pictures with celebs — he’s got pics with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner (see above) and Joe Francis. He’s also posed for pics with politicians Herman Cain and VP candidate Paul Ryan.
LaBella also says on his Facebook page that his aunt is Heather McDonald from the show “Chelsea Lately.”
Just last month the blonde bombshell was arrested for fleeing the scene after she clipped a pedestrian with her car and did not stop driving, but her publicist later said he expects the allegations to be proven false.
Linds has a serious case of bad luck. We hope the Liz & Dick star is okay. Her series is set to air on Lifetime in November.
