Lolo Jones might've dug herself into a hole by tweeting an insensitive comment recently. The track star was challenged to a race by former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand, and she laughed it off ... to say the least.

Without realizing that LeGrand had become paralyzed while playing football, Lolo playfully responded:
"Get checked for a concussion. clearly u've been hit in the head ... cos u arent beating a track athlete."
That is a perfectly normal response from a competitive athlete, so it's completely believable that she didn't know LeGrand got hurt in the game.

When Twitter informed her of LeGrand's current state, she responded:
"No, dnt know. sry dont know every football player. He challenged me 2 a race & I responded."
In a later statement, and in an effort to clear things up, Lolo said this:
"I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone by my tweet. When Eric challenged me to a race earlier all I knew was that he was a football player, but certainly had no idea he had become paralyzed from a football injury. I thought I was tweeting in good fun like I always do with the many athletes who challenge me to races."
Apparently, LeGrand didn't take the comment personally at all, and he let his fans know that!
He tweeted:
"Didnt take it personal, understand where ur coming from. All good."
What's your take on Lolo's tweet?
