All's Fair In Love & Hip-Hop: 5 Reasons Why You HAVE To Love Tahiry

Posted March 13, 2013 by SusannaOsborne for Global Grind Staff

Love & Hip-Hop was a little hard to follow this season, but one cast member I was always interested in was Tahiry! Her storyline is one that's relatable to most women and personally, I can definitely feel her on falling in and out of love with the same person, over and over again.

I can't speak for men, but I know feeling like you made a fool of yourself while not knowing if you should leave the man you're with is something a lot of women go through. More times than not, you end up sticking around with a mission to prove your love and loyalty, hoping your man will eventually start acting right.

Though she tried really hard to stay away... somehow the connection she has with Joe Budden definitely had Tahiry sticking around and proving her loyalty, while Joe made it difficult for her to keep her cool at times.

Tahiry was and is the ultimate ride-or-die for a man that isn't technically hers, but seems to be hers emotionally. We watched her kick Joe Budden out of her life, take him back as a friend, help him kick his drug habit, and snuff his current girlfriend after feeling like ol' girl got out of pocket.

Let's fast forward to the Season 3 Love & Hip-Hop Reunion the crew just taped. Rumor is, Consequence came up behind Joe at some point, and while he wasn't looking, hit him in the back of his head.

Who turned around and punched his face out?! Tahiry! She always has Joe Budden's back... and that's whether she likes it or not.

I'm not condoning violence here... she doesn't always handle things the best way possible. BUT, whether right or wrong, there is no denying that Tahiry's heart and loyalty is always in the right place and that's something you just have to love about her.

Here are 5 reasons you absolutely have to love Tahiry. Do you agree?

She Goes Against The Grain

Tahiry isn't afraid to be herself and do what makes her happy, regardless if others are going to criticize her hustle. During this season of Love & Hip-Hop, the young artist-in-the-making let the world hear her first ever song and it was pretty dope!

It was easy to tell Tahiry was nervous to see Joe and the world's reaction but she kept her cool, remained confident, and is winning because of it!

Love & Loyalty

As I've already mentioned, Tahiry is a great depiction of what it means to be loyal. If you're a friend, or someone she really has love for and history with, she stands by your side until the end.

Although Joe messed up in a lot of big ways in the past, when he relapsed and needed Tahiry's help as a friend, she put aside her own hang ups and focused on getting Joe healthy and off drugs, again. That's real friendship!!

Her Body Is...

SICK...

And She Knows How To Dress For Her Size & Shape!

Forgive the 3-picture emphasis, but I couldn't explain with just one. You have to love this girl because she has the curves most girls buy, with the know-how and fashion sense to dress them appropriately.

Not every thick, curvaceous woman knows how to flatter her body with what she wears. Tahiry does a stand up job, don't you think?

She's So Loveable & Down-To-Earth

What I love the most about Tahiry is she's a very popular woman, with tons of fans, and amazing opportunities awaiting her, but she still seems like the girl right next door.

She doesn't flaunt her good fortune, or excessively remind people that she's doing better than them, and she keeps it real at all times. Plus, she's a sweetheart... that is, when she doesn't have to keep it G and get physical with her enemies.

Her Claim To Fame Isn't Sleeping W/ As Many Celebs As Possible

A few of the girls on this season's cast LITERALLY came onto the show saying that they slept with a bunch of celebs and are here to tell their story. How that makes them relevant I'm not sure, but in my humble opinion, there were too many people on the show this time around and those girls could have been tossed.

Yes, Tahiry is known as Joe's ex-girlfriend but it's ONLY Joe's ex-girlfriend. She came on the show with an actual story and struggle that dealt with true love and heartbreak. She is beautiful and has talent. I respect the fact that she's not just sleeping around with the motive to be relevant on a reality show. And she hustles on her own. She doesn't need her ex!
