Jerome In The House! Martin Lawrence Suing Trinidad James For Stealing "Jerome" Character? (DETAILS)

Rumor has it Martin Lawrence is not too happy with rapper Trinidad James. 

It seems that there are just one too many similarities between the up-and-coming artist and one of Marty Mar's dearest creations- the Martin personality "Jerome" for his liking.

Jerome is known as the gold teeth wearing, afro-puff rocking, word-slurring, over-the-top character Martin created and portrayed over the years. And if you are a fan of Trinidad James, you know the similarities are uncanny. And, due to the similarities, there are reports that Martin Lawrence is thinking of suing.

Allegedly, the show's creator, Gerald Levin, stated: 

“Nobody’s that unattractive in real life. Gold chains, gold rings, and rotten teeth, that’s Jerome!! …Martin created that."

If this is in fact true, we're not really sure if he can prove his case here, but these days people can sue for just about anything. Only time will tell.
