"Matrix" Director Becomes The First Transgender In Hollywood! (VIDEO)

Matrix director Larry Wachowski is now a lady. 

In a new extended trailer, Larry - now Lana - explains the concept for his new movie called Cloud Atlas for the first time ever as a woman. This announcement makes Lana the first major Hollywood director to come out as a transgender.

Back in 2003, Larry showed up dressed as a woman, and later that year, the Gothamist reported:

"Every indication I have says that Larry Wachowski is now in the process of changing his sex," Gothamist writer Poland wrote. "Dressing in public like a woman, taking female hormones and yes, having a sex change operation."

Now as a full woman with pink dreadlocks, Lana is gearing up to release one of the most anticipated movies of the year: Cloud Atlas starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry.
