Think Like A Man took the top spot at the box office this weekend, whipping the reigning number one movie The Hunger Games by $18 million dollars. The Meagan Good and Kevin Hart flick racked up a healthy $33 million, beating number 2, Zack Efron's The Lucky One, by $10 million.
It leaves us thinking ... this has to be Meagan Good's break out role! Sure, she shined in movies like Eve's Bayou and Stomp The Yard, but this is her first taste of mainstream success on the big screen and we must say, it's long overdue.
We loved her in Brick, and if you didn't see it, you must add that one to your collection. IMDB has her slated to appear next as Karima in the upcoming fantasy film, Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness.
Hopefully this and her current number one movie could mean more mainstream roles for Meagan. Especially when you consider models like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Brooklyn Decker are getting major roles in blockbuster films.
In Think Like A Man Meagan plays Mya, a girl who has put her "cookies" on lock down for 90 days so she can finally get a guy to respect her. The role allows Meagan to really show off her acting ability - she's able to be funny, sexy and even cry all in the same movie.
Add in that Meagan recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Sony Pictures Entertainment exec DeVon Franklin, and her future is so bright we need shades just to write about it.
Congrats go out to Meagan, Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union and the whole Think Like A Man cast for making a great movie!
