One Night Only, Metta World Peace Out! Ron Artest Voted Off "DWTS" (PHOTOS)

Ron Artest, aka Metta World Peace, was a good sport about being the first celebrity to be eliminated from season 13 of Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night.

The DWTS results show began with the pair spinning and jiving to "The Edge of Glory." It ended with the NBA player on the edge of Metta World War.

“I got a chance to learn how to dance. I’m from New York, we just two step in the club, and [partner Peta Murgatroyd]‘s got me really interested in dancing,” Artest said. “I met good friends. … I had a great time. Ricki Lake, I’m a Ricki Lake groupie. …  I want to take Nancy Grace to the club.”

Artest promised to donate his earnings from the show to the Cancer Research Foundation in honor of his 8-year-old daughter, Diamond, who overcame kidney cancer.

He's a positive man with a good heart.
