When it comes to playing an evil character, no one does it better than MIchael Shannon.

The Broadwalk Empire actor takes on the role of General Zod in the new reboot of Superman titled “Man of Steel.” He does a phenomenal job.

I got the chance to partake in a press conference in beautiful Burbank, California on the Warner Brothers lot where I asked Michael Shannon about his TV fight with Eminem in 8 Mile. (Oh you ain’t know he played Rabbit’s mother’s boyfriend in the film?!)

I also asked him where he gets the fuel to be so damn evil in movies. His answer was straight hilarious…

“Satan. Yeah that’s where I go. I get my bucket, go down to the well and say, ‘Satan, are you down there? I’ve got to be evil today.’

I lower the bucket in the well, the lava comes back up and I drink it. And it hurts, but then i take some Alka-Seltzer and some Pepto Bismol.

No, I don’t know. It couldn’t be anything further from who I actually am. I’m just a tall, lanky, goofy person and then I do these other things and I don’t even necessarily think of it as evil.

I keep racking my brain, like–was my guy in 8 mile evil? Why do people think I’m evil?”

Check out the video footage of Michael Shannon’s awesome responses, and he also talks about his character on Boardwalk Empire as well. Be sure to go see “Man Of Steel” when it hits theaters June 14.
