Miley Cyrus has been dealing with some harsh Twitter haters recently!

The 19-year-old singer has received death threats and messages criticizing her fashion sense on Twitter.

Miley strongly suggested that Twitter needs to take responsibility and make the social networking website a safe place for users.

She tweeted:

This past weekend, Miley tweeted someone saying, "U have nothing better 2 do than hate? That saddens me. Im surrounded by love Im sorry 4 whatever happened 2 make u so bitter. Then, she tweeted another user saying, "I won't tolerate someone telling me 2 die. I think Twitter needs to take some responsibility and make it a safe environment!"

Despite all the hate being sent Miley's way, that didn't stop her from continuing to Tweet and enjoy herself at Elton John's Oscar party.
