Nick Cannon has really given us a few health scares these past two months.

Between being hospitalized because of a kidney condition, to having blood clots in his lungs, we’ve all kept him in our prayers.

It turns out that the 31-year-old recently revealed to PEOPLE that he has a “Lupus-like autoimmune disease”!

Nick told the magazine:

The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because ... I've known people who have passed away from that. I thought I was getting better and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere.

After cutting back on his schedule by stepping down from his radio show, Nick says he’s focusing on getting better.

I'm just trying to make sure I put my health first.

The magazine also asked him if his condition is hereditary:

They kind of say [my] autoimmune [disease] is – like a lupus type of thing, but no one else in my family has it.

Fortunately, Nick is still staying positive about all of these health scares:

I feel blessed to be alive," Cannon said. "If it wasn't discovered, I don't know [what would have happened].

We hope that Nick is doing better, and that he can keep his health in order - he's got twins and Mariah to take care of!
