Nicki Minaj Reveals What Her Biggest Challenge On American Idol Is! (VIDEO)

Nicki Minaj is used to being the lady in charge but once she joined the American Idol panel, the Young Money star had to adjust to the different dynamic.

Nicki recently sat down with E! News and while many may think the biggest challenge of her new gig is overcoming the "feud" with fellow judge Mariah Carey, the femcee reveals the long days and schedule is where she has had a hard time.

“I’m not really used to having to show up somewhere at a specific time. I kinda been my own boss for a few years, so this is like adding discipline back in my life. This is adding that strict regime of having to do something. Everybody’s affected by what I do.”

Two out of three episodes of her Nicki Minaj: My Truth special has aired on E! and while some would say Nicki has been portrayed as a demanding diva, she says:

"I think my fans know, but may be the world... that i'm not always like that. Like when they see me running around and changing wigs and being crazy and saying 'ahhh where's the steamer!' You know, that last for a moment and then we're laughing and cracking jokes"

Lastly Nicki leaves us with some advice. She says:

“Don’t be lazy. Push yourself even when you feel like you can’t go on.”
