The Olympics are in full swing over in London, and some of the biggest players are missing from the hardwood courts in the good ol’ United States.

But that doesn’t always mean they’re playing for the USA Olympic team. While some big names such as Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James are rocking their red, white and blue on the court, Oklahoma City Thunder player Serge Ibaka is switching it up a little and playing for Spain. 

The 23-year-old baller was born in the Republic of the Congo and is the youngest of 18 children, which may account for some of the superb blocking skills that earned him the nicknames Air Congo and Serge Protector.

While out in London checking out the Olympic games, our very own Sharon Carpenter caught up with the baller to hear exactly how he feels about playing against some of his main boys during the Olympics.
