Queen Latifah recently visited The View, where she sat down for a candid and fun interview with the hosts and dropped some surprising news.

Co-host Barbara Walters dug in deep as she asked the Queen about starting a family, to which she surprisingly replied:

"I'm actually kind of working on that."

Latifah expressed that she is ready for a family, and that she would love to adopt! During her time on the talk show, she reminisced about always wanting a kid.

She told the audience:

"I think I saw one of those specials . . . you know those movies of the week. And it was like -- I just always wanted to bring a child home."

When asked if she was serious, she playfully assured Walters:

"I'm totally serious. So if you got a kid that you don't... Just give me a year- let me set up camp and send me the kid! But no, no, totally."

We can't wait to meet the little heir or heiress to the Queen's throne. The kid will definitely have some big and successful shoes to fill! Congratulations on a big step forward, Latifah!
